Rules

Tournament Rules

These rules govern participation in the Viva Plus Street Champions, a 5-a-side grassroots football competition powered by Naija5Fest The tournament combines grassroots football competition with digital registration, player verification, tournament management and community engagement. 1. Team Registration All teams must register through the 5ivezz app. Teams must provide accurate team and player information during registration. A team is only officially registered after completing the required registration process and payment. Teams must meet the published Team Eligibility Requirements. 2. Viva Plus Participation Requirement Every participating team is required to purchase Viva Plus products worth ₦25,000. Payment for the ₦25,000 product purchase must be completed during checkout on the 5ivezz app. Only teams with confirmed payment and successful registration will be eligible to participate. 3. Player Eligibility Only players registered to the team through the 5ivezz platform may participate. Players may be required to provide information necessary for identity and eligibility verification. A team must not field an unregistered or ineligible player. Teams are responsible for ensuring that all players registered under their team are eligible. 4. Team Identity Each team must compete under its officially registered team name. Teams must provide the required team manager/captain details. Changes to registered players or team information may be subject to approval by the tournament organizers. 5. Tournament Administration 5ivezz will provide the digital platform for tournament registration and management. Tournament organizers will oversee competition administration and operational delivery. Fixtures, standings and other tournament information may be communicated through the 5ivezz platform. 6. Fair Play & Sportsmanship All teams and players are expected to: Respect opponents, officials, organizers and spectators. Demonstrate good sportsmanship throughout the competition. Avoid abusive, threatening, discriminatory or violent conduct. Respect the rules and decisions of tournament officials. 7. Disciplinary Action The tournament organizers may take disciplinary action against teams or players for: Fighting or violent conduct. Abuse or threats toward officials, players or organizers. Deliberate misconduct. Fielding an ineligible or unregistered player. Providing false registration information. Any conduct that undermines the integrity of the tournament. Possible sanctions may include warnings, suspension, player/team disqualification or other tournament-administered penalties. 8. Match Attendance Teams are expected to arrive at the designated venue at the scheduled time. Teams must complete any required check-in and verification before their match. Failure to appear or failure to meet the tournament's check-in requirements may result in forfeiture of the match. 9. Tournament Integrity Teams must not manipulate results, collude with other teams or engage in any activity intended to unfairly influence the competition. Any suspected breach may be investigated by the tournament organizers. The organizers' decision on tournament integrity matters will apply subject to the tournament's official dispute process. 10. Organizer's Authority The tournament organizers reserve the right to: Verify teams and players. Review eligibility and registration information. Investigate complaints or rule violations. Take appropriate disciplinary action. Make reasonable administrative decisions necessary for the safe and fair operation of the tournament. 11. Acceptance of Rules By registering for Viva Plus Street Champions, the team manager/captain confirms that the team and its players agree to comply with these Tournament Rules and any applicable Match Rules communicated by the organizers.
